Welcome to Fit & Care — a place built not by a big corporation, but by real people who genuinely care about health, fitness, and helping you feel your absolute best every single day.
We started this website because we kept noticing the same problem: the internet is full of health and wellness content, but much of it is either confusing, contradictory, or written solely to rank on Google rather than actually to help anyone. If we wanted something different. Fit and Care needs a space that feels like getting advice from a knowledgeable friend—honest, warm, practical, and human.

We’re Not Here to Tell You What You Want to Hear
Most health websites are optimized for search engines. Their headlines are designed to get clicks. Their articles are designed to confirm what you already believe. Their recommendations are shaped, quietly or loudly, by who is paying them.
Fit and Care was built to be different.
We started with a simple premise: if you’re going to trust a health website with questions that genuinely affect your well-being, you deserve to know who is behind it, how they research, what they believe, and what they won’t do for a sponsored post.
This page answers all of that.
Our Story—Why Fit and Care Exists
My name is Hamza Ahmad, and I’m the person behind every article on this site.
In 2021, I was going through a difficult time with my health. I was dealing with a chest infection, fatigue, and weight issues, and I turned to the internet for answers, the way most of us do.
What I found was overwhelming — and contradictory. One site told me to eat more fat. Another said fat was dangerous. One said to exercise every day. Another said rest was more important. Everyone seemed to have an opinion. Very few had sources.
I started going directly to the research. PubMed. NIH. The actual studies, not the blog posts summarizing them. And what I found was that the science was often much clearer, much more nuanced, and much more useful than anything the wellness industry was publishing.
That gap — between what research actually shows and what most health content says — became the reason Fit and Care exists.
What We Believe
These principles shape every decision we make about what to publish and how to publish it:
Accuracy over engagement. We will not publish a headline that misrepresents the research, even if an accurate headline gets fewer clicks. We will not overstate the strength of evidence to make an article sound more definitive.
Transparency over authority. We are not a hospital. We are not staffed by doctors. We say that clearly, repeatedly, and without apology. We believe that transparent, well-sourced content written by a non-clinician who cites their work is more trustworthy than authoritative-sounding content with no sources.
Honesty about uncertainty. Health science is full of genuinely unsettled questions. We will not pretend otherwise. When the research is mixed, we say it. When the evidence is preliminary, we say it. When the right answer is “talk to your doctor,” we say that too.
Independence: Our content is not written to serve advertisers, sponsors, or brand partners. Editorial decisions are made solely based on what is accurate and useful for readers.
. Respect for the reader. You are an adult capable of handling nuance, complexity, and uncertainty. We write for you — not for a mythical “average reader” who needs everything simplified into a bullet list.
Our Core Values
Everything we publish at Fit & Care is guided by three core values:
| 🌿 Honest Guidance We only share what is backed by real evidence. No hype, no miracle cures—just clear, trustworthy health information | 🤝 Community First Every reader is a part of our growing family. We listen, we learn from you, and we grow together. | 💡 Continuous Learning Health science evolves every day. We stay up to date so you always get the most current insights. |
These values are not just words on a page. They are the reason we turn down sponsored content that does not align with our standards, the reason we revise old articles when new research comes out, and the reason we always include a note when something is a matter of personal opinion rather than fact.
What You’ll Find on Fit and Care
We publish evidence-based articles across the following areas:
Nutrition & Diet
We cover the science of eating well — not diet culture, not fads, not cleanses. What does the research actually say about protein intake, carbohydrates, fats, micronutrients, and the relationship between food and health outcomes? We go to the primary literature to find out, and we write about it plainly.
Fitness & Exercise Science
Exercise physiology can be surprisingly counterintuitive. We cover what the research says about building strength, improving cardiovascular health, training for longevity, recovering effectively, and exercising with health conditions—for people at every fitness level.
Weight & Metabolism
Weight management is one of the most misrepresented topics in online health content. We approach it through the lens of metabolic science and behavioral research—not diet culture, not quick fixes, and without stigma.
Mental & Emotional Wellness
The relationship between physical health and mental health is deeper than most content acknowledges. We cover sleep science, stress physiology, the gut-brain connection, and the evidence on lifestyle interventions for mood and cognitive function.
Preventive Health
We’re interested in what the long-term epidemiological research says about reducing risk for cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and other chronic conditions—and translating that into practical lifestyle guidance.
What We Are Not
We want to be honest with you about the limits of what this site can and should provide.
Fit and Care is not a medical practice. We do not diagnose conditions, recommend specific treatments, suggest specific medications, or provide personalized health guidance.
The person who writes this site, Hamza Ahmad, is not a licensed physician, nurse, pharmacist, registered dietitian, or mental health professional.
Every article on this site is a starting point — a way to arrive at your doctor’s office or your specialist’s office more informed, with better questions, and a clearer sense of what the research landscape looks like. It is not a replacement for that conversation.
Please read our full medical disclaimer before acting on anything you read here.
