Editorial Policy
Fit and Care — fit-and-care.com Last Updated: [Month, 2026]

Our Core Commitment
At Fit and Care, we hold ourselves to one standard above all others: we will only publish health and wellness information that we can support with credible, peer-reviewed evidence.
Health information is not neutral. Inaccurate content in this space can influence real decisions about real people’s bodies and lives. We take that responsibility seriously—and this page exists to show you exactly how we earn the trust we ask for.
This editorial policy explains who creates our content, how we research it, what sources we rely on, how articles are reviewed and updated, and how we handle errors and corrections. If you ever have questions about our process that this page doesn’t answer, contact us directly at fitandcare1@gmail.com.
Who We Are
Fit and Care is an independent health and wellness website founded in 2025 by Hamza Ahmad. It is operated as a single-author publication, meaning that Hamza Ahmad is responsible for all research, writing, editorial decisions, and site management.
We are not affiliated with any pharmaceutical company, medical device manufacturer, insurance provider, supplement brand, or healthcare institution. Our editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by commercial relationships.
Hamza Ahmad is a health and wellness writer with 3.5 years of experience researching and translating peer-reviewed science into accessible content. While not a licensed medical professional, he follows a rigorous research and sourcing process—described in detail below—to ensure every article reflects current, evidence-based understanding.
Content Creation Process
Every article published on Fit and Care goes through the following process before it reaches you:
1. Topic Selection
Topics are chosen based on reader questions, common health misconceptions, emerging research, and areas where reliable plain-English information is genuinely lacking. We do not choose topics based on what is trending on social media or what generates the most ad revenue.
2. Research Phase
Before writing begins, we conduct a structured review of the available evidence:
- We search PubMed, Google Scholar, and NIH databases for peer-reviewed studies relevant to the topic.
- We prioritize systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and randomized controlled trials over smaller or observational studies.
- We review guidelines published by major health bodies, including the CDC, WHO, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, and relevant specialty organizations.
- We note where the evidence is strong, where it is emerging, and where it is genuinely uncertain or contested.
3. Writing
Articles are written in plain English, with accuracy first and readability second. We do not oversimplify in ways that distort the science. Where nuance is important, we include it—even when it makes the article longer or more complex.
Key writing standards we follow:
- A cited source supports every factual health claim.
- Claims are written to accurately reflect what the source actually says — we do not extrapolate beyond the evidence.
- Uncertainty is disclosed: if the research is mixed or preliminary, we say so.
- Sensational or clickbait language is not used in headlines or body copy.
4. Self-Review and Fact-Check
Before publishing, every article is reviewed for:
- Factual accuracy of all claims.
- Accuracy of source citations (does the cited source actually support the claim?)
- Completeness (are important caveats or contraindications included?)
- Clarity (could a health-literate general reader understand this?)
5. Medical Review
At this time, articles on Fit and Care are not reviewed by a licensed medical professional before publication. All content is written based on peer-reviewed research and established medical guidelines, but readers should be aware that our content has not undergone external clinical review. We are actively working toward adding a qualified medical reviewer to our process. In the meantime, an editorial note is displayed on all health-related articles, and we strongly encourage all readers to consult their doctor before acting on any health information they read online—including on this site.
